Grey Gardens
When I was designing for George Gould Strong, I wanted him to have a clean-cut, masculine appearance, while still portraying the stereotypical image of a gay man in the 1940’s. I chose a smoking jacket with matching pants and a silk cravat. He is also wearing cuff links and a ring on his pinky finger.
