This production of Avenue Q was one of the first to be done by a community/regional theater in the country. The puppets and their costumes were rented, so my responsibility was designing the costumes for the human actors. For the puppetters, that involved ensuring they had comfortable black clothes, while for the characters of Brian and Gary Coleman, that involved standard leisure clothing. The biggest challenge was the wedding dress for the character Christmas Eve, which is featured on these pages.
