For this production of the Shakespeare classic, the director, Ms. Mann, imagined the play set in Mesa, Wyoming Territory, circa 1860. I thus was responsible for designing/producing one or more period costumes for 26 players in both speaking and non-speaking roles. Ms. Mann's concept included substituting the original character of Governor Leonato with "Miss Leona", who was the mother of Hero and aunt of Beatrice.
