When designing for the characters of Don John, Borachio and Conrade I wanted to play with the stereotype that the villain always wears black. I put Don John in all black because he was the worst of the three. Borachio and Conrade are in black with shades of grey as a metaphor for the amount of evil they carry inside themselves.
